While the Mater Hospital SYDNEY has all the appropriate precautions in place to ensure its COVID-19 preparedness, the Hospital remains fully functional with all services operating as per normal. St Vincent's is working closely with the State Government's Department of Health to help protect and keep our patients, visitors, staff and doctors safe from COVID-19.
Visitor Restrictions are now in place for all wards.
Patients are to nominate one visitor for their stay - only this one person will be permitted to visit with the patient during their entire stay. All visitors must sign in and out of the Hospital each day and undergo thermal scanning.
Please do not come to the Hospital if you have any acute respiratory symptoms (runny nose, sore throat, cough) or fever and/or have been overseas in the last 14 days.
Recommencement of Elective Surgery
The Mater Hospital recommenced some elective surgeries, in accordance with the guidance of the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) and as endorsed by the National Cabinet.
