Bio

Having gained my primary degree in medicine and surgery in Auckland NZ, I then completed general obstetrics and gynaecology training in New Zealand and in the United Kingdom. Whilst training in the UK, I obtained a special skills module in Urodynamics through the RCOG (Royal College of Obstetrician Gynaecologist). In addition to the 4 years in the UK, I underwent further fellowship training in Sydney with exposure to laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery before completion of RANZCOG Urogynaecology subspecialty training at the Mercy Hospital for Women and the Monash Medical Centre, where I subsequently worked as consultant urogynaecologist in the Pelvic Floor Clinic spending in total 10 years in Melbourne.

My commitment to research is demonstrated through published peer reviewed papers and book chapters (http://www.researchgate.net/profile/Joseph_Lee8/), invited presentations at national and international meetings, main investigator in several clinical trials and am an active committee member of the IUGA (International Urogynaecology Association).

I offer services in female pelvic floor medicine and reconstructive surgery, which includes urogynaecology and urodynamics testing for patients with pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence, in addition to general gynaecology.
