Alexandra (Alex) completed her undergraduate medical degree MBBS BSc (Hons) at UNSW in 2001. In addition to her Sydney based general O&G training at The Royal Hospital for Women and Royal North Shore Hospitals, she has rural,interstate and international Obstetric and Gynaecology experience.
Alexandra has completed additional training in sexual health and STI management, maternal critical care, management of medical disorders in pregnancy and surgical repair of post partum anal sphincter injuries.
Alexandra completed her fellowship training with a focus on Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology, minimally invasive surgery and reproductive endocrinology at The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead where she continues to hold a clinical post
as a Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecologist.
Alexandra is a member of the RANZCOG Board of Examiners, a lecturer for the Diploma in Child Health /International Postgraduate Paediatric Certificate and is regularly invited to lecture General Practitioners, Paediatricians and RANZCOG trainees and fellows at educational meetings including the annual NSW RANZCOG Pre Membership exam course.
Alexandra offers comprehensive and personalised obstetric care to low and high risk antenates from preconception advice to post partum contraception. She provides individualised care to girls and women of all ages, is holistic and evidence based in her approach, which includes conservative, medical and surgical management of benign gynaecological disease with a preference for minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Alexandra was born and grew up in rural NSW, which is evident in her honest, friendly and down to earth manner. She is married and has two children and enjoys pottering about in her garden.
