Bio

Max is an Australian trained consultant urological surgeon with a sub-specialty interest and expertise in the use of minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopic and robotic techniques for the treatment of prostate, kidney and bladder cancers. He is a certified robotic surgeon in the use of the DaVinci Robotic System having commenced robotic surgery in 2012.

Max is also an experienced endourologist offering laser treatment of kidney stones and benign prostate enlargement including Green Light laser prostatectomy. Other urology services include vasectomy, male incontinence and erectile dysfunction treatments.

He is the supervisor of Urology registrar training at Hornsby Hospital and has an academic title as Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney Medical School.

Max was raised in Sydney and completed his medical degree at the University of NSW in 1996. He completed three years of advanced accredited training in general surgery, based at Royal North Shore and affiliated hospitals, before commencing specialist training in urology in Victoria. After further fellowship training in urological cancer and voiding dysfunction he was awarded Fellowship in the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2008. He has based his practice in the north and north-west regions of Sydney since then.
