With the gynaecological experience gained in his first year as a doctor he then went on to complete three further years of training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the UK before emigrating to Australia in 2001. Neil completed his basic Obstetrics and Gynaecology training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney before completing a further two year fellowship in advanced laparoscopic gynaecological surgery first at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and then at the Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick. After completion of this comprehensive training and being awarded the Australian Gynaecological Endoscopy Society (AGES) travelling fellowship for that year, Neil travelled to a remote part of Ethiopia for three months to care for women usually unable to access even the most basic Obstetrics and Gynaecological care. Neil’s main Gynaecological interests are the investigation and often complex surgical treatment of endometriosis and in the investigation of women with abnormal uterine bleeding. Neil has a significant interest in teaching and research in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology and has a number of publications in peer reviewed journals. Neil is a Staff Specialist in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and advanced gynaecological laparoscopic surgery at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He practices Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Mater Hospital, and North Shore Private Hospital. He practices private Obstetrics and Gynaecology as part of a group practice: Marren, Campbell and Mackie.
