Bio

Dr Russell Duncan completed his Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FRANZCOG) at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney followed by a two-year post-graduate Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery through the Australian Gynaecological Endoscopy Society (AGES). He also trained at the Royal Darwin, Gosford and Canterbury hospitals.

Prior to completing his medical degree at the University of Melbourne, Russell completed a science degree with Research Honors and post-graduate work in research laboratories. This experience provides him an excellent foundation in and understanding of evidence-based medicine.

Obstetrics

Dr Duncan understands the importance of personalised care and treats each patient as an individual. Having undertaken his training at busy tertiary hospitals, Dr Duncan has extensive experience in managing high-risk pregnancies including twins, gestational diabetes, and other complex medical and surgical issues.

Gynaecology

Dr Duncan can offer non-surgical and surgical management of all gynaecological conditions. In addition to general gynaecology training, he has also undertaken additional training in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery and has a particular interest in endometriosis surgery and laparoscopic (key-hole) hysterectomy.  He is proficient in vaginal and open surgery as well as minimally invasive and complex surgery and will tailor your operation to your individual situation.
