He trained at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Australia’s largest cancer centre and has a PhD in the “Advances in the Radiotherapy treatment of Skin Cancer”. He is a senior radiation oncologist with Melanoma Institute of Australia (http://www.melanoma.org.au/), the largest melanoma centre in the world and the Skin and Cancer Foundation (http://www.scfa.edu.au/). He is the chief investigator of an International Phase III Trial with over $2 million in funding in the radiotherapy of melanoma (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gxrA7vNWPE) and a principal investigator of other trials conducted by the Melanoma and Skin Cancer (MASC) Trials (https://masc.org.au) and Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (http://www.trog.com.au/). He is the Director of the St Vincent’s Sydney Radiotherapy Centre, the original Genesis Cancer Care site, and is on staff at the Mater and Macquarie University Hospitals, Sydney. He has over 70 publications and is keen teacher. He also is currently the Master of Warrane College, UNSW (http://warrane.unsw.edu.au/) and Patron of Solidarity! (www.solidarityau.com) a student group that protects the rights of health care students and workers in regards to life issues especially termination of pregnancy.
